Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Anupama Chopra’s daughter Zuni Chopra opened up about fighting one’s privilege in a video shared on Instagram. The 17-year-old author shared that privilege and a name can really only get one person so far. Zuni Chopra, who has published a novel at the young age of 17 opened up about the hardships that privileged kids have. She spoke about wanting to achieve a lot more. The author spoke about what one can do to be bigger than one’s last name. And, Zuni explained how one is required to work hard always.

The video on Instagram starts with Zuni Chopra saying, “She is the daughter of Anupama Chopra and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. When everyone knows who your parents are, what can you do to be bigger than your last name?” She then went on to share how everyone always starts her interviewers by mentioning the names of her celebrity parents. Zuni mentioned that it all bothered her at the age of 15. She shared that she wondered why people were always mentioning the names of her parents while introducing her. Chopra asked, “Why were their names repeated more often than mine?” Zuni continued, “The privilege bit is a little hard one to escape. What mountain can you conquer to match the Everest of those who came before you?” Zuni finally said, “Privilege and a name can really only get you so far.”
